About SEMC

The Simons Electron Microscopy Center is a division within the New York Structural Biology Center, a not-for-profit consortium that provides advanced resources in structural biology to the national scientific community. Located in Harlem, NY, SEMC helps researchers elucidate the intermolecular interactions and domain architectures of macromolecules within their native cellular assemblies through our collective centers: Member Electron Microscopy Center, National Center for CryoEM Access and Training, Simons Resource for Automated Molecular Microscopy, Simons Machine Learning Center, and National Center for In-situ Tomographic Ultramicroscopy. The facility has brought together a combination of instrumentation, innovation, technology and staff expertise that supports the determination of three-dimensional structures using major techniques available to the field.
